Hello Jonas!
ResponderBorrarHow are you? I was surprised when you told me you were coming to Iceland for a two-week trip. You'll love this icy yet beautiful country, I've been thinking of a few activities we can do while you're here.
First, I would like you to visit Hallgrímskinkja, it is a parish church and Iceland's national sanctuary. Its impressive and unique architecture gives the impression of a rocket taking off.
Then, if you like museums, we could visit the National Museum of Iceland, where many national treasures are displayed. Its wooden floorings, alabaster colored walls and faintly lit rooms will astound you.
What do you think about it? I'm looking forward to your visit.
Best wishes,
Keila

Hi Jonas,
Hope everything is OK. Great to hear from you! I’m so glad you’re coming to Reikievik next June. June is the best moment to visit Iceland.
I think you need to know some important information about my country. First, remember to book everything in advance. Lots of people visit the city in Summer. For example the bus that takes you from the airport to the city centre. Then, you don’t need cash. You can pay absolutely everything with debit or credit cards. And the most important piece of advice: clothes are very expensive, especially Winter clothes. So don’t forget to bring waterproof clothing, sunglasses (the sun and the snow are very hard) and a warm jacket. Weather is changeable and the winds are strong.
I’m so excited thinking of all the lovely places we could visit together. For example there is a great excursion to enjoy the aurora borealis (the northern lights). We can also ride snow motorcycles on the glaciars and June is the month to sightsee blue whales in the sea! Amazing!
I’m sure this trip is going to be a terrific experience. Let me know if you have any other doubt or question.
See you in June.
Jimena
Hi Jonas!
ResponderBorrarI´m really excited that you are coming to stay with me in Iceland!
I have planned some things we can do together! Please don’t forget to bring your camera and warm clothing! I would like to visit the National and The Saga Museums with you, they cover the Viking history of Iceland and then, the rotating glass dome Perlan to see those wonderful views of the sea. Besides, if you are tired we can have a good time at the Lagoon geothermal spa where we can try the benefits of volcanic activity.
See you soon!
With love,
Diamela
Dear Jonas,
ResponderBorrarI am writing to tell you that I am very exciting because you are coming to Reikiavik. I wanted you to know that I am living with five people at the moment, but you will have a room for your own. My family is waiting to meet you too.
All these days I have been thought about what we can do on the two weeks that you are going to stay here. I thought we can go for a walk so you can meet beautiful places. My favorite one is the Mývatn Lake but we should wake up very early to enjoy the day there and we can also go to Hallgrímskirkja. I suggest you to look for information about the different places that there are here so you can choose what you like and then you tell me so we can go there.
My family asked me to tell you that we have a cat and they want to know if you are allergic to it. Our last invited was allergic and the ‘welcome’ became a mess. You can also tell me about your food preferences or something else you want me to know about.
I am sure we are going to spend a good time.
Best wishes,
Rocio

ResponderBorrarHi Jonas,
ResponderBorrarI'm really happy that we'll see each other next June. Iceland is a pretty expensive country to visit. You don't need to bring too much cash with you. Most places here accept and prefer credits cards payments.
June is a fantastic month to come. The days are long and the sun only goes down for a couple of hours each night. Weather is changeable so you definitely should bring some sweaters and a waterproof jacket.
A friend of mine has a cottage located in the northwest. It's a fantastic place to spend a weekend. There are waterfalls and valleys to visit nearby. It's a peaceful place to relax. We can get there in my car.
As I've told you days are long...how about exploring the street of the city´s centre on foot or by bike?
I'm so excited that I can't wait until June to see you!!
Write me as soon as you can and tell me what you think about visiting my friend´s cottage.I have to schedule the visit with him.
Best wishes

Dear Jonas,
ResponderBorrarI´m so excited about your coming over!! You will definitely love Reikiavik. The place is indeed enchanting, trust my word.
Before you come, there´s a couple of things I would like you to take into account. The weather in Iceland is nothing like London; so please bring the warmest clothes stored in your wardrobe. Do also remember you don’t need to change any money to Krónas; most places here accept several foreign currencies.
Since you are staying two weeks, I thought that I can be your personal tourist guide and show you around! There amazing sights you can´t miss; such as the Northern Lights and the 360° viewing platform in Hallgrimskirkja Church. Hope you fancy the idea!
Looking forward to seeing you!
Best wishes,
Sandra
Dear Jonas:
ResponderBorrarI hope that your trip is going well; I was so excited when i learn that you were coming to Reikiavik. This is an amazing city full of life and culture; we can explore it on foot or by bike. Also, if you are brave enough we can go on a scenic helicopter ride over the city. That way we can truly appreciate the entire city and its landmarks.
I’m looking forward for your arrival so we can do all this things, I know you are going to love this place.
Hope you have a nice trip
See you soon, your friend Danilo.
Dear Jones
ResponderBorrarHow are you ? I'm really excited that you're coming to stay me in Incelamd and I'm hope that love a cold wather since here is really normal.
I've planned lots of things for us to do, I suggest we take a trip to fascinatinglake when we can skate and late we can visit all the museum where there're differents pintures and some of them are over 100 years.
I'm looking fowards to seeing you soon, I hope you have a good journey.

Hi Jonas!!
ResponderBorrarHow are you keeping? You give me the best news in your last email, we will be together next January! I'm so excited about that!
Since I read your email I make plans for us to do together. The first stop, just over an hour of the city, is the Thingvellir National Park where it is the Gullfoss double waterfall of 32 metres high and geysers like Strokkur, which erupts every 10 minutes. It’s a truly and remarkable sight.
Remember don’t bring so much warm clothes, the climate in Iceland is milder in winter.
I really hope that this will be an unforgettable trip!
Bye for now
Analía
Hi Jonas,
ResponderBorrarHow have you been? I'm so excited for your e-mail! I would love to suggest you lots of things we can do here on Iceland! Have you thought about the cold weather here yet? In that case, be prepared.
We can make our way to the National Museum of here. It's very interesting to start with. And then, going camping and try new food from any farm we find sounds like a great idea to me. I know you like risky things, so skiing near the thermals is perfect.
And the last thing you shouldn't miss, are the Northern Lights you can find here. There are lots of, but not in all the areas from here. I can help you. We are going to have an asom time!
Well,
See you soon!

Hi Jonas! How are you?
I want to tell you that I'm very happy and anxious for your visit!
You chose the best time of year to come as the weather is very pleasant and there are many activities we can do. For example, we can go to the coast to see whales or go horseback riding. If you prefer something a little calmer we can go to a lake, as you like!
I can't wait to see you!
With love, Mica.

Hi Jonas,
ResponderBorrarI can't even begin to tell you how excited I am about you coming here. I've been waiting for this moment to come. What's it been? Like a year? God, I'm so happy!
Anyway, this is about you, not about me. We need to take this chance to make it a trip you will never forget. You know Iceland is fairly close to the US, but still things are kinda different here.
So, first of all, your luggage better be big AF. You have no idea how damn cold it is here. So if you don’t bring very large, warm clothes, I’m telling you, you’re going to freeze to death.
But well, knowing that you love cold weather I don’t think that’s going to be keeping us from making the most out of your time here. STARTING WITH…
Whale watching. You may be wondering why. Well, the thing is, we can do that from Reykjavik the very moment after you’re settled. Cool, right? But guess what’s cooler: That same night, we can go on a boat tour to see the Northern lights. And they are the most beautiful thing I’ve ever seen. You’re gonna love them.
I’m taking by this point you might imagine these two weeks are going to be a buzz. And don’t think I’m leaving anything out. We’re going to the mountains, the Great Geysir, Landmannalaugar, and many other places! Of course, you can do some research and see if there’s anything else you’d like to do. I’ll send you the list.
Get ready to become an Icelander!
See you soon,
Melina
Dear Jonas,
ResponderBorrarHi friend! how are you? It's been ages since we last spoke . Your mail really surprised me. You make my day! I’m very glad for your coming.
I use to travel a lot for work but I’m sure that I’ll we be able to spend some days with you. Are you still working at the same company?
I’ve been living here for almost ten years so I can tell you where to eat, drink and stay in Reykjavik. Hots dogs are a popular snack here. I declare myself a fan of them so it would be a crime to leave Iceland without have a try of them.
For last but not least I’d would like to offer me as your personal guide, please consider that.
Best Regards

ResponderBorrarDear Jonas,
ResponderBorrarHi friend! I'm so glad to coming here.
You are going to spend the most amazing holiday in Iceland. I promise you.
If you have a fascination for nature and for volcanos, being from an island with a live volcano myself. Iceland isn’t for everyone but if you love nature then go! The only downside is the weather, we are wearing coats the whole time (some days in the middle of the afternoon was warm enough to take them off for a short time).Northern Lights in all its glory but seriously you couldn’t manage the cold,it is cold enough when it was summer! You have come warm!. The locals kept saying that it was the mildest summer they’ve ever had. If mild includes wearing a thick winter coat and layers and still being cold, then imagine the winter!.
We are going to do a lot of tours, mostly with Reykjavik Excursions. Normally when we go away we would explore on our own and in our own time, using buses and trains etc. But just isn’t possible in Iceland. A lot of people hire cars and do it themselves.
You will find the Icelandic people to be very warm and friendly and hilarious as well. They are going to always make jokes and poking fun at themselves and their language. They speak perfect English though.
Finally I'm looking forward to hearing you!
Write as soon as you can!
Best regards

Hi Jonas,
ResponderBorrarHow have you been? It's been a long time without seeing each other. It's nice to hear from you and I hope you're OK.
I'm happy you're going to visit Iceland in your two-week trip. I remember you telling me that you were thinking about rent a house but It's not necessary, you can stay at my house. I have holidays at work so we can visit different places together. Are you still working at Ikea or have you changed?
If you want we can go to Harpa Concert Hall, there our favourite band is going to give a free concert or we can go for a walk along Laugavegur's street to eating local food or simply go to Austurvollur Square. Finally, you can't miss Lake glacier Jökulsárlón where you can find small icebergs. I would be grateful if you accept my offer.
I hope to see you soon,
Take care,
Agus
Dear Jonas,
ResponderBorrarI’d like to apologise for not having written before, we’ve just started the second term at school and I have a lot on my plate. I’m really excited about your trip to Iceland, I’m eager to show you around my home town.
You’ve asked me for advice, well, as you know the weather here is quite cold and you aren’t really used to it so I recommend you bring some winter clothes.
Why don’t we go on a pub tour? There really interesting bars on Austurvóllur square and I know you love trying out different kinds of beers. There is a travel agency near my house and they offer great excursions; I think you can’t miss the glacier and boreal aurora. They are breath-taking.
I can’t wait to see you.
Love,
Jazmin.
Hi Jonas,
ResponderBorrarI hope you enjoy your trip and when we are together, we will go to a lot of places in Iceland. One of them is the lava fields and the volcanoes. They are enormous but they are dangerous. Also, there are rocky paths where we can walk. The Northern lights are one of the best things you have ever seen.
I hope to see you soon,
Kisses,
Patricia
Hi Jonas,
ResponderBorrarHow are you? I'm so glad you are coming to Reikiavik on a two-week trip. I think it would be nicer if you stayed with me and my family. My house is not large but we have a spare room where you can stay the days you want to. What do you say?
As you know the summer is the best season to enjoy your trip here. There are almost 24 hours with solar light. We can spend time together visiting volcanoes, geysers, hot springs and lava fields if you prefer them. Tell me if you like them or you would rather do another activity.
I'm looking forward to hearing from you.
Best wishes,
Marta

If you don't have a place to stay, you are welcome at home. My family and I will be available for whatever you need. If you are a nature lover, this is the best place you can visit. The city area coastline is characterized by peninsulas, mountains, volcanos and many small islands. Also, it has a very interesting art scene. You will enjoy it. You could go to watch the whales and enjoy at night the Northern Light experience. It's beautiful.
You can't miss it.
See you soon!
Macarena.
Hi Jonas!
ResponderBorrarHow are you doing my dear friend? It's always a pleasure to hear about you. I can't believe you're coming for two weeks to Reykjavik! I imagine that you will be as excited as me about it. What do you think about staying in my house with me and my family during your trip? I'm eager show you my hometown.
As you would imagine, you choose the best season to come here because the weather is not as cold as in winter, but obviously
don't forget to bring some warm clothing.
I'm sure you'll have fun here, I recommend you to visit the Food Walk, there you'll taste the most strage food ever! Also we could go to the Golden Circle, where there's a huge volcanic crater. For me, the most spectacular tour we have here, is the amazing Nothern Lights Night Tourn, there you'll feel disconected from the world.
Can't wait to see you Jonas!
Best wishes,
Adela.
